Hello!  I am Nicole (Utecht) Algra, Owner and Professional Photographer for Nicole Utecht Photography.  I am a fine art photographer who specializes in Weddings, Elopements, and Portraits in Wisconsin + Worldwide.

As a fine artist, I am a great admirer of natural light, golden light, and vibrant, romantic imagery that is classic in style and timeless appearance. My photographic style is known for placing couples and families within beautiful scenic landscapes with gorgeous natural light. I love photographing laughter, genuine heartfelt interactions, and couples and families who are fearless and adore each-other endlessly.

I began photographing with my film camera at a young age and took my first photo class in high school.  My passion for photography, warmer temps and a longing for the beach, lead me to receive my Master's degree in Fine Art Photography from the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia.  In the years prior to living in my beloved "heart home" of Savannah, I attended UW-Oshkosh, were I earned a Bachelor's degree in Fine Art Photography.

With over 20 years of photography experience, and 12 years of business, I have had the pleasure of photographing hundreds of weddings and portraits throughout the US and internationally, including: Italy, Switzerland, Jamaica, England, Canada, Hawaii, California, Georgia, Oregon, and throughout the Midwest.  I am addicted to traveling and find it inspiring to photograph in locations that are meaningful to my couples and families.  Up next, I would like to explore and photograph in the US National Parks.

I currently live in Oshkosh, WI with my husband, Jason, who also happens to be an Ironman triathlete.  We enjoy a very athletic and ambitious lifestyle.  When I am not photographing and running the business, you can find me working out, practicing yoga, swimming, riding my bike to watch the sunset, cuddling with our sweet black cat, or shamelessly watching anything on TLC, HGTV or Bravo.  Cooking is one of my favorite things to do; while tacos, mac n' cheese, and cookies are my weaknesses.

The thing I cherish most about begin a photographer is creating a genuine connection with my couples & families and preserving a moment in time that will only happen once, but live forever through photographs. Giving the gift of forever photography is incredibly important and drives me on a daily basis.

I am looking forward to hearing from you and for the opportunity of working creatively together soon!
